Update on Real Good Sports: Today we are posting our last few stories on RealGoodSports.com. For the past year and a half we have covered several stories of inspiration from leading athletes nationwide. We are grateful to all those that have supported and collaborated with us. We are taking this time to re-evaluate the site and how we can better serve our readers.

Meet the Real Good Sports Team
Gabe Katz, Co-founder and Managing Editor
A journalism enthusiast – sports media in particular – Gabe has interviewed Super Bowl champions Raheem Brock and Chris Canty, and rising star Bengals linebacker Vincent Rey. He’s covered organizations and events affiliated with the NY Rangers, NY Knicks, and NBA Cares. He has also written articles featuring The MLB’s Robinson Cano and CC Sabathia, Tina Charles (WNBA), Deron Williams and the Point of Hope Foundation (NBA), and the foundations of Torrey Smith and Ryan Kerrigan (NFL). After graduating from Temple University where he received a degree in communications, he had two subsequent positions in news, first as an online editor and contributor for a Philadelphia sports web site start-up and later as a multimedia content provider at a newspaper in the Philadelphia suburbs. He now lives in New York as a freelance journalist and remains an avid sports fan.
Keisha Katz, Co-founder, Multimedia Producer
A rising digital journalist, Keisha manages the web site design and functionality, the social media outlets and often shoots and edits videos as needed. Outside of her Real Good Sports responsibilities, she serves as an associate producer at a network news production company working on programs which have aired on NBC, Investigation Discovery, The Weather Channel and NUVOtv. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Temple University.
Derek S. Garcia, Contributing Videographer
Based in Brooklyn, NY, Derek directs music videos, short films and is on his way to directing feature films of his own. His films have been shown in various festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival, the Williamsburg International Film Festival, the Chicago International Film Festival, the National Film Festival for Talented Youth, the NYC Downtown Short film festival, and the Brooklyn International film festival. Derek has a BFA from SUNY Purchase conservatory of Film.
Janay Frazier, Contributing Graphic Designer
Janay is a graphic designer who aspires to create design for the common good of others. Currently enrolled in the City College of New York, where she studies Electronic Design and Multimedia. She describes herself as passionate, driven and a lover of music.
Liam Bevans, Contributing Multimedia Writer
A 2013 graduate of Boston College, Liam earned his degree in Communication while simultaneously working for the school’s football program. An avid sports fan, Liam has held intern positions at both Comcast SportsNet New England and the TD Garden. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Administrative Studies at Boston College, while finishing his second year as an intern for the Boston College Eagles.
